Despite their cute name, there isn't much to love about love handles.

Love handles are another name for the excess fat that sits at the sides of the waist and hangs over the top of pants. Also known as a muffin top, this fat can be a challenge to lose.

Many people try to target this specific area with endless side crunches and other abdominal moves that target the obliques, muscles that run down the sides of the torso.

Here are a few simple ways to get rid of love handles and the stubborn belly fat.

Firm Cream

Firm Body Contour Cream can help you firm and tighten the appearance of problem areas–even addressing cellulite and dimpled skin–in time for summer. It’s time to love how you feel in your shorts, tanks, and swimwear again. Place your order today

2. Cut out Added Sugar

Healthy eating is key when you’re trying to lose fat in any area of the body. Ditching added sugar is one of the best ways to clean up your diet.

3. Focus on Healthy Fats

Filling up on healthy fats like avocados, olive oil, nuts, seeds and fatty fish can help slim your waistline.

Not only do healthy fats taste delicious, they help you feel full, causing you to consume fewer calories throughout the day.

4. Fill up on Fiber

Adding foods rich in soluble fiber to your daily routine may help you get rid of stubborn love handles. Soluble fiber is found in foods like beans, nuts, oats, vegetables and fruits.

It helps keep you feeling full for a longer period of time by slowing down digestion and decreasing feelings of hunger.

The prolonged feelings of fullness fiber brings have been shown to decrease the number of calories people consume throughout the day, leading to weight loss

5. Add in Complex Carbs

Swapping refined carbohydrates like white bread, pasta and white rice for nutrient-dense complex carbs like sweet potatoes, beans, oats and brown rice can help you shed belly fat.

Unlike refined carbs that leave you feeling hungry, complex carbs keep you feeling satisfied throughout the day and may help you eat less.

This is because complex carbohydrates are digested more slowly due to their high fiber content.

Totally stepping out of my comfort zone. I’m not one to post pics of myself very often... my results are shocking lol. This is why I’m with this company. #MakePeopleBetter

I’ve always had issues with my weight I’d gain it , lose it, gain it back… a constant battle and was ready to throw in the towel. The older I get the harder it seems to lose the weight and keep it off.. Yes, most of it is my own fault.. not always eating the healthiest … I mean I love food way to much especially bread and pasta lol.. my main problem was my late night cravings and sweet tooth... that nothing seemed to help.

Along with “trying” to eat healthy I worked out 30-50 minutes a day 6 days a week and after months I barely noticed a difference. I was getting frustrated, having low self esteem, and just disgusted with myself in the way I looked.

A few months ago I decided to give Nerium firm and Youth factor a shot even though i thought it was a gimmick and can’t possibly help… but  nothing seemed to work in the past and felt I had nothing to lose (but the weight) and honestly didn’t expect much to come from it. Man, was I wrong!!

Within two weeks of using the products I noticed a change in myself, my mood, everything. I no longer had the late night cravings nor did I have cravings for junk food/sweets. The way I felt was crazy, I just feel healthier and more motivated. The Firm cream and youth factor has done wonders for my body and mind. I still try to eat semi-healthy and work out regularly, but now only 20-30 minutes a day 5 days a week.. no, I’m not where I want to be… the point I’m trying to make is…  it works. the results are amazing and I don’t have to kill myself working out almost an hour a day or keep to a diet to see results… all the reasons why I love Nerium… this stuff really is the shit!!!… magic in a bottle.

The scary truth: about 20 percent of Americans who were overweight and obese lost weight and kept it off while the rest gained weight back. The first challenge is getting the motivation and willpower to lose the weight but it's an even bigger challenge to keep it off. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle isn't always easy, but can be done. Here are a few successful tips that has helped people

1.Write it all down

  • Tracking everything you eat leads to more weight loss, studies show. Blog it, photograph it, or log it in your smartphone for a couple of weeks to reveal if you’re self-sabotaging with over-sized portions or too much junk, says Marissa Lippert, RD.
2. Make a "red flag" list
  • Include habits that have derailed you in the past (like stopping for an a.m. doughnut or putting off grocery shopping). Post it somewhere visible, like your bathroom mirror, so it’ll be easier to spot (and stop!) old habits pronto.
3. Make the transition from losing to maintaining as seamless as possible.
  • Losing weight in a way that is closest to what maintaining will feel like may bring about the most success. The optimal way to lose weight is a way in which the changes from weight loss to maintenance are minimized. If you lose weight on a very unusual diet like a grapefruit diet, where you’re only eating one type of food or you’re on a liquid meal plan, it can make it more difficult to transition to maintenance. You maybe know what to do for weight loss, but then you have to relearn what to do to eat a normal healthy diet. You want to learn in the beginning what it feels like to be on a more wholesome diet and incorporate more exercise into your daily routine. This will build a healthier pattern that is more long term.
4. Be active. Really active
  • Staying active is key to maintaining weight loss, even if it’s just brisk walking. engaging in 30-60 minutes of physical activity is ideal.
5. Don’t spend as much time in front of the TV.
  • How do you find the time to fit in all that fitness? Limit the amount of time spent in front of the TV. Not only limiting your time for exercise but it also helps avoid snacking. A lot of us tend to snack on junk food while TV. You're getting a double benefit by cutting down on TV: Burning more calories from  physical activities and consuming less calories from that junk food
    6. They are consistent with their eating habits.
    • One reason there is a weight problem in the U.S. is that there are delicious foods that are high in calories are easily accessible. Instead of picking your lunch from endless possibilities, try sticking to set of foods you know you will be successful with.
    7. Find support.
    • Accomplishing just about any goal feels more attainable with a team of cheerleaders by your side. Social support has been linked to weight loss and maintenance in research and anecdotally among couples, friends and groups who tackle their goals together. Whether it’s making a date with a gym buddy or checking in with a fitness-tracking app, sharing maintenance plans with a support team can help you stay accountable.
    8.They stay positive.
    • Focus on how much better you feel and how you're able to do more physical things now than you could in the past.Think of all the positive changes in your life because of your weightless.
      9.They get enough sleep.
      • There’s a lot of evidence  and studies done showing that when we don’t get enough sleep, we rely on more food to energize our days. And, unfortunately, our sleep-deprived cravings are not usually for the most nutritious option. Skimping on sleep probably won’t single-handedly ruin weight maintenance goals, but arming yourself with sufficient shut-eye is certainly a good place to start.

Snacking is sometimes looked down upon when you’re trying to lose weight, but when done the right way, snacking can be good for you! It keeps your metabolism going and cravings at bay until the next meal. However, eating the wrong foods during snack time could significantly obstruct your goal to weight loss. Sugars, fats and carbs love to hide in foods disguised or packaged as “healthy.” Read on to discover what snacks you’re eating that you shouldn’t be!
      1. Trail Mix: A serving of store-bought trail mix is a measly quarter-cup, a serving size that roughly no one will stick to. Plus, the processed milk chocolate isn’t doing you any favors, either. Instead, go for some fruit and nut bars like KIND bars, or you could even make your own. The fruit and nut bars will ensure that you’re getting nutrients your body needs instead of empty calories that won’t even fill you up.
      2. Pretzels: These classic snacks are high in sodium — almost 20 percent of your daily intake is in one serving of pretzels. Too much sodium leads to increased water retention, which can lead to bloating and puffiness, and too much sodium over time can lead to heart disease. Opt for some salted and shelled pistachios instead. They contain almost double the protein and three times the fiber of pretzels, which means they’ll keep you full much longer than pretzels will.
      3. Rice cakes: Rice cakes are commonly perceived as healthy foods because they are low in calories and contain no fat, but they are also incredibly high on the glycemic index. Pure sugar has a rating of 100, and rice cakes have a rating of 82. Try air-popped popcorn (not microwaved) for a healthier alternative. Plus, you can use all kinds of healthy toppings for popcorn!
      4. Bottled smoothie: Bottled smoothies may seem like a good low-calorie choice, but upon closer inspection, there are usually two or three servings in one bottle. Making your own smoothies is the perfect way to ensure that you know exactly what is going into them and how much you should drink to stay on track.
      5. Diet soda: Artificial sweeteners can make you feel full and keep cravings at bay, but they also have a negative effect on your metabolism. Eliminating diet soda (and caffeine) can be difficult at first, but in the end is completely worth it. Try drinking sparkling flavored water instead.
      6. Banana chips: Banana chips also may seem like a good idea, because they are primarily bananas. Right? Wrong. They are usually fried, which means they’re high in saturated fat. Instead, go for the obvious substitution here: a banana! At 121 calories, a large banana contains no saturated fat, but it does contain vitamins B and C and a healthy dosage of fiber! Or, if you’re really looking for a healthy chip option, try kale chips.
      7. Chocolate pudding cups: A chocolate pudding cup doesn’t have a terribly high calorie count, but why not just go for the real deal instead? Dark chocolate contains antioxidant-rich cocoa and contains less sugar, less carbs and more fiber than a cup of chocolate pudding. This is an excuse to insert chocolate into your diet — take it!
      8. Cheez-Its: Cheese crackers like Cheez-Its are high in simple carbs, which spike your blood sugar and create cravings, the exact opposite you’re trying to accomplish by snacking. Stay away from quick fixes like cheese crackers.
      9. Granola and skim milk: Even just a half cup of granola with one cup of skim milk has 360 calories! That’s because even though granola is advertised as healthy, most of it is just sugar and fat. If it’s 10 a.m. and you need a second breakfast before lunch, that’s perfectly fine. Substitute the granola cereal for one cup of instant oats for a more nutritional and satisfying meal.
      10. 100-calorie packs of cookies: Studies have shown that the 100-calorie packs of cookies like Oreos and Chips Ahoy actually cause more problems than they solve when it comes to weight loss. People tend to eat more of them because they are perceived as healthy, even though they are, in fact, still cookies. We know it’s not the same, but try to substitute those with roasted pumpkin seeds. A third of a cup contains only 94 calories, and they will fill you up much faster than cookies would.
      11. Baby carrots: Baby carrots are a popular dieting snack, but the fact of the matter is that they won’t keep you full very long. Try dipping them in a couple teaspoons of hummus or another source of protein to get you and your growling stomach through to the next meal.
      12. Flavored yogurts: All flavored yogurts are high in sugar from the artificial flavoring. Instead of a cup of strawberry yogurt, opt for plain Greek yogurt; it’s low in sugar and contains healthy proteins to fill you up.

      1. Stop eating foods with added sugar, especially refined sugar. No soda and no sweets
      2. Avoid as best possible anything that has ”Concentrated Glucose-Fructose”. This is the worst possible glucose you can eat.
      3. Stop eating fried foods. No french fries, no fried chicken, nothing fried.
      4. Cut down to the maximum of saturated and trans. fat. If its sticky and waxy, its probably saturated.
      5. Drink a lot of water. 1/2 your body-weight in ounces of fresh cold water for best results.
      6. Eat more vegetables. Such as greens, carrots, tomatoes, all sorts of vegetables.
      7. Eat small (no more than 300-400 calories) meals five times a day. Each meal must contain proteins, fibers and must be low in fat.
      8. Workout at least 4 times per week, between 1h30 and 2h a day. Do light to moderate intensity exercises. It’s important that you do aerobics but you must also include anaerobic workouts (resistance training such as weight lifting). Speak with a personal trainer to plan a workout routine for you, and also speak to your doctor to prior to beginning any workout regimen. It is proven that following a routine helps keep motivation and also tracks down your improvements.
      9. Eat high protein meals right after a workout. (within 1 hour). Avoid eating too much meat (except for lean healthy meat such as chicken breast, turkey breast, fish, grass fed beef). Ensure that you eat beans, lentils, chick peas, quinoa or egg whites. Optionally (and what is highly recommend), you can take protein supplements such as Whey Protein Shakes right after a workout. Try to eat at least 60 grams of proteins a day with as least fat as possible.
      10. Stop eating 2 hours before going to bed (especially with bad carbs and bad fats).

Do the above consistently and you WILL lose about 2-3 pounds per week… naturally and permanently.
Now if you are eating right, if you find a simple and effective fat loss program (such as this popular one I highly recommend HERE), if you cut down your fat and sugar intake as much as possible, and if you do all of this while maintaining a good workout routine to exhaust your body, you WILL be able lose 3-4 pounds per week.
Important note: You will lose less weight the closer you are to your fitness level weight. Once you achieve this weight, you can either eat more lean proteins and do more anaerobic exercises to gain muscle mass or do less cardio and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

        1. Walnuts
‘Walnuts serve as a delicious-tasting weight loss food. To fully enjoy the benefits of walnuts for weight loss, it is important to remember that these nuts are a high-calorie food that should be eaten in moderation. Make sure to add only 1.5 ounces (about 20 walnut halves) for maximum benefit to your daily menu.’
Eat them on their own or add them to your salads. This is probably the best way to include them. Don’t make your own salads? Just take them out of your bag and sprinkle them over the salad at work or restaurant. You’ll feel fuller for longer and the salad will have a far more interesting texture.
        2. Asparagus
When losing weight, it’s important to favor chlorophyll-rich foods, including asparagus. Asparagus is a nutrient-rich vegetable packed with folate, vitamins A, C, and K, and fiber. Asparagus also contains a carbohydrate known as inulin (not to be confused with insulin) that promotes healthy bacteria in the large intestine – which in turn promotes a healthier digestive function which ultimately results in better assimilation of nutrients and weight loss.
        3. Almonds
Loaded with important nutrients like monosaturated fats, vitamin E, folic acid, protein and dietary fibre, almonds are your answer for dipping energy levels and quick healthy snacks. These filling, snackable bites can help keep your blood sugar steady.
A study from the University of Toronto found that people who ate almonds with white bread didn’t experience the same blood sugar surges as those who ate just the slice. And the higher blood sugar levels rise, the lower they fall; that dip leads to hunger, causing people to overeat. Plus, blood sugar changes cause the body to make insulin, which can increase abdominal fat
        4. Quinoa
Regarded as a sacred food by the Incas, quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) provides a wide range of vitamins and minerals. A complete protein, it has all the essential amino acids needed to build metabolism-revving muscle. Swapping refined grains for whole proteins such as quinoa is not only more nutritious, it can help you lose belly fat. How? Quinoa contain fiber, which makes you feel fuller on less food. One study, published inThe Journal of Nutrition, found that reduced-calorie dieters eating about 115 g of protein daily lost 22 percent more fat after four months than those who ate 70 g per day. Quinoa is higher in calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, iron, copper, manganese, and zinc, and lower in sodium compared with wheat, barley and corn. It the most nutritious gluten-free grain known.
        5. Apples
Apple is one of the best weight loss foods. Apples are a sweet and crunchy snack full of all sorts of nutritional goodness, and they taste good on their own and in salads, desserts, and savory dishes, too.
A study from Penn State University at University Park revelaed that people who chomped an apple before a pasta meal ate fewer calories overall than those who had a different snack.
Research shows that just two apples a day could help protect women against heart disease lowering blood fat levels by almost 25 percent, a claim unattainable by cardiovascular prescription medications.
        6. Black beans
Beans have always been the undervalued protein that could work best when used as a substitute for meat. They stay in your digestive system longer and add to the feeling of fullness and a satisfied feeling, aiding weight management. They contain soluble and insoluble fiber, protein, and a type of fat-burning carb called resistant starch. Black beans are really one of the greatest weight loss foods.
According to data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, bean eaters weigh less and have slimmer middles.
        7. Coconut Oil
One of the healthiest cooking oils in the world, coconut oil enjoys one of the highest stabilities of all oils when heated. 50 percent of the fat content in coconut oil is a fat rarely found in nature called lauric acid. Your body converts lauric acid into monolaurin, which has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-protozoa properties. Lauric acid is a powerful virus and gram-negative bacteria destroyer, and coconut oil contains the most lauric acid of any substance on earth! Coconut oil is about 2/3 medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), also called medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs. These types of fatty acids produce a whole host of health benefits. It’s nature’s richest source of these healthy MCFAs.
Researchers at McGill University, in Quebec, Canada are now advocating the use of a MCT treat and prevent obesity. The reason most people are overweight is because they simply don’t eat enough good fats.
        8. Cauliflower
The simplest way to prepare cauliflower is to boil it and add pepper and salt. But this flowery vegetable is an enemy for toxic compounds in your body. The cauliflower is rich is indoles, glucosinolates and thiocyanates that bumps off all the toxic waste in your body.
Cauliflower is low in calories while still offering filling fiber. This veggie is also super versatile and can make a great replacement for heavier foods. It is a member of the Cruciferous family of vegetables; other members of this phytonutrient-rich family include broccoli, Bok choy, cabbage, and kale. Eating cauliflower and other Cruciferous vegetables at least three times a week may significantly reduce your risk of developing all types of cancer. Eating cauliflower may also give your immune system and healing mechanisms a natural boost, as cauliflower is naturally rich in real vitamin C.
        9. Cinnamon
Everything is nice about this spice. Just 1/2 teaspoon each day can help control your blood sugar and prevent the postmeal insulin spike that can trigger your body to store fat rather than burn it. You can also use cinnamon to bring out the natural sweetness in foods, rather than adding calories from sugar. All spices help you trim down when used to add flavor to foods instead of oil, butter and calorie-laden condiments.
Valued in ancient times as currency and once considered more precious than gold, cinnamon — one of the world’s oldest known spices — has one of the highest antioxidant values of all foods and its use in medicine treats everything from nausea to menstruation and energy to diabetes.
        10. Coffee
Raise your mug to higher metabolism! The caffeine in coffee can raise your resting metabolic rate by about 15 percent, and the effect can last up to four hours–that adds up to 30 to 50 calories burned per day. Plus, people who sip 3 to 4 cups of regular or decaf coffee per day are 30 percent less prone to type 2 diabetes. Chlorogenic acid, found in coffee, may help prevent insulin resistance, which can lead to obesity and diabetes.
        11. Eggs
Eggs are a good source of vitamins, proteins and minerals. As said by nutrition experts, eggs are not only a great source of nutrition, but also very useful to help lose weight. When combining eggs with other dishes you will limit the consumption of complex carbohydrates in the body. Your hunger and food cravings will occur less frequent. Egg itself is sufficient in helping in weight loss.
The breakfast staple is loaded with choline, a compound known to help block fat absorption. Eating protein-rich eggs for breakfast reduces hunger and decreases calorie consumption at lunch and throughout the day. After eight weeks, dieters who ate two eggs, toast and jelly for breakfast five days a week lost 65 percent more weight than those who had a same-calorie bagel breakfast without eggs, according to a study in the International Journal of Obesity.
        12. Radish
Like other types of vegetables, cooked radish contains approximately 3 grams of fiber per half cup to help you stay full and satisfied. Radishes are considered as starchy vegetables, so it is recommended to be eaten in place of rice, bread or other starchy foods.
        13. Garlic
Garlic help prevent various cancers, fight cardiovascular diseases and diabetes and respiratory problems. Garlic also helps fight various infections.
Overweight people who sprinkled their food with the zero-calorie spice lost an average of 30 pounds in six months, compared to only a 2-pound loss in the control group. Strong flavors like garlic may make food more enjoyable so you feel fuller faster.
        14. Avocado
Many people are shocked when they first learn that avocados are one of the best foods for weight loss. Avocado is high in monounsaturated fat. Research indicates diets high in monounsaturated fat are more beneficial for weight control because monounsaturated fat exerts beneficial effects on how blood lipid profiles, insulin function and directly affects how the body utilizes blood glucose.
Avocado contains a unique weight loss friendly carbohydrate called mannoheptulose. Mannoheptulose is a rare form of sugar which has been found to lower insulin secretion. Avocados help to reverse the problems that we see with insulin resistance, by virtue of the presence of mannoheptulose and its high content of good fats.
        15. Lentils
These legumes are rich in resistant starch (RS), a carbohydrate that may encourage fat burning and shrink fat cells. One cup serving of cooked split peas or lentils provides up to twice as much fibre as other fibre-rich foods. When study participants enjoyed a meal with 5 g of RS-about what you get from 3/4 cup cooked lentils-they burned 23 percent more fat over 24 hours than when they had a meal without the starch, researchers at the University of Colorado in Denver say.
People who consume lentils at least three times a week reduce their risk of developing polyps — small growths in the lining of the bowel which can become cancerous — by a third, researchers say.
        16. Olive oil
Like avocados, olive oil has healthy fat that increases satiety, taming your appetite. But that’s hardly its only slimming feature. Research shows it has anti-inflammatory properties, and chronic inflammation in the body is linked to metabolic syndrome. Drizzle your salad with olive oil and you’ll increase the antioxidant power of your veggies, a study published in the British Journal of Nutrition notes. Healthful monounsaturated fats found in olive oil could potentially switch on genes related to fat burning and storage. The only deficiency with olive oil is its lack of polyunsaturated fats, which contains Essential Fatty Acids (EFA). While ounce for ounce, all oils have the same calories, olive oil has a fuller flavor so less is needed for tantalizing taste.
        17. Sweet Potato
Yams are packed with antioxidants (like carotenoids), vitamins and minerals. They are quite low on the glycemic scale, meaning you’ll digest them slower and stay full longer. Moreover, nutritionally-dense yams in your diet can trigger the satiety center in the brain quickly, make you feel full faster. If you want to lose some pounds, yams may be one food to include in your diet next year.
These spuds have RS, the same carbs found in lentils that may turn up the body’s fat-scorching furnace. RS may also increase production of peptide hormone compounds that signal the brain to stop eating. After a breakfast and a lunch containing RS, subjects ate about 10 percent fewer calories over the next 24 hours compared with when they had similar meals with a placebo, research from the University of Surrey indicates.
        18. Chlorella
A green algae that contains 18 amino acids, magnesium, zinc and other nutrients; over 4,000 studies published in Japan and Taiwan show chlorella helps cut blood pressure and cholesterol numbers down to size, boosts metabolism, and clobbers abnormal cell growth. It’s like a tiny green magician with the power to make you feel and look 20 years younger and help many of your medical concerns simply vanish.
        19. Pears
Pears deliver a dose of fiber (about 5.5 grams per medium-sized fruit), which helps keep you satisfied long after you eat them. But that’s not where their fat-fighting power ends.
A Brazilian research team found that a group of women who included pears in their diet each day lost more weight than the group who included oat cookies–even though the pears and the oat cookies had the same number of calories.
        20. Pomegranate
They look like rubies and we believe that they are as precious as them too. Pomegranates reduces arthritis, increase your immunity, and improve fertility. Long known for its antioxidant properties, the humble pomegranate is a heart patient’s best friend. Scientists believe that the superfood has the power to reduce the fat stored round the stomach — the ‘spare tire’ in men, or ‘muffin top’ in women. While the benefits of drinking pomegranate juice have gained a lot of attention recently, you will be more likely to lose weight by eating the fruit fresh to increase your fiber intake and keep the calories down.
Using pomegranate seeds instead of nuts on salad, or eating on their own, prove to be incredible.
        21. Red bell peppers
This vegetable adds flavor whether it is baked, roasted, cooked or stuffed. Capsicums help to break down waste that is in the blood, hence a prefect veggie for those suffering with kidney disease.
These are sources of vitamin C, and adequate intake of the nutrient has been associated with having a smaller waist. Plus, C has been shown to bolster immunity and prevent cell damage.
        22. Hemp
Hemp foods are expanding onto the shelves of grocery and natural food stores across North America. By definition, these are foods containing whole hemp seeds or the oil, nut (hulled seed) and/or flour (ground seed cake) derived from the seeds. Overall, hemp’s main nutritional advantage over other seeds lies in the composition of its oil, i.e. its fatty acid profile, and in its protein which contains all of the essential amino acids in nutritionally significant amounts and in a desirable ratio. This has a significant affect on metabolism allowing the body to shed fat 10% faster than those who don’t consume hemp daily.
        23. Tomatoes
Whenever you munch, your body releases a hormone called cholecystokinin, which tightens the valve between your stomach and your intestine. As a result, CCK boosts feelings of fullness–making you less apt to overeat.
Tomatoes contain oligofructose, a fiber that helps sustain the effects of CCK in your stomach. Bonus: Lycopene, a compound found in tomatoes, has been shown to protect you against sunburn and may help reduce the risk of certain cancers.
        24. Millet
Millet is a beneficial and delicious staple of any whole grain diet. This non-glutinous grain is over 10-percent protein, has high amounts of fiber and B-complex vitamins, and because it isn’t an acid forming food, is easy to digest. A research team led by Charles S. Brennan at Lincoln University, New Zealand found that replacing traditional wheat and maize flours in extruded cereals with flours such as millet could lower carbohydrate digestibility, which is linked to the glycemic impact.
Millet and other whole grains are a rich source of magnesium, a mineral that acts as a co-factor for more than 300 enzymes, including enzymes involved in the body’s use of glucose and insulin secretion.
        25. Blueberries
Researchers found that blueberries can break down existing fat cells and prevent new ones from forming, making them a potentially powerful weapon in the fight against rising obesity. Essentially, blueberry polyphenols fight adipogenesis, which is the development of fat cells, and induce lipolysis, which is the breakdown of lipids/fat.
Blueberries also have a low concentration of glycemic carbohydrates that mildly and gradually change into sugar. This sugar does not occur in an amount that is high enough to raise insulin levels.

        1. No focus: you didn't set goals, you didn't put your goals in writing, and or you didn't keep your goals in mind daily (by reading them, affirming them, looking at a vision board, etc.)

        2. No priorities: you may have set a goal, but you didn't put it on or near the top of your priorities list. For example, your goal is six pack abs, but drinking beer and eating fast food on the weekend is higher on your priorities list than having a flat stomach.

        3. No support system: you tried to go at it alone; no buddy system, training partners, family, spouse, friends, mentors or coaches to turn to for information and emotional support when the going got tough.

        4. No Accountability: you didn't keep score for your own accountability - with a progress chart, weight record, measurements, food journal, training journal, and you didn't set up external accountability (ie, report to someone else or show your results to someone else)

        5. No patience: you were only thinking short term and had unrealistic expectations. You expected 10 pounds a week or 5 pounds a week or 3 pounds a week, so the first week you lost "only" 1 or 2 pounds or hit a plateau, you gave up.

        6. No planning: you winged it. You walked into the gym without having a workout in hand, on paper, you didn't plan your workouts into your weekly schedule; you didn't have a menu on paper, you didn't make time (so instead you made excuses, like "I'm too busy")

        7. No balance: your diet or training program was too extreme. You went the all or nothing, "I want it now" route instead of the moderate, slow-and-steady wins the race route.

        8. No personalization: your nutrition or training program was the wrong one for you. It might have worked for someone else, but it didn't suit your schedule, personality, lifestyle, disposition or body type.

So there you have it - 8 mistakes that cause most people to fall off the wagon! Have you been making any of these mistakes? If so, the solutions are clear and simple: focus, prioritize, get support, be accountable, be patient, plan, balance and personalize.
